Whilst 'Prevention is better than cure', proving that insects are present or not, is equally as important for due diligence.

Many residences such as hotels, care homes and student accommodation are unaware that they have problems with bed bugs as the majority of bites will go unnoticed or become evident several hours or days later when you are in another location.

Passive monitors provide an ideal harbourage point for Bed Bugs and can be left in position for periodic inspection. The match box size monitor has a sticky pad to allow it to be stuck into position and out of view.

Active monitors are used to detect active infestations or to prove that they are now present. A heat pad imitates body temperature and the monitorŐs unique comb encourages the Bed Bugs to enter, where they then get stuck on the glue. After 24 hours the monitors can be removed and inspected.

Mattress protectors encase the mattress in its entirety with a fully sealed cover. The encasement zip seals are specially designed to ensure that should Bed Bugs want to harbour their opportunities are reduced. A standard mattress has many folds, seams and buttons which make it ideal for them to hide. By covering these up with an encasement you avoid the mattress being a hiding place and becoming infested, eliminating the need to dispose of the mattress.

Climb ups are designed to fit under the legs of the bed. We know that around 68% of bed bugs in a room leave the mattress. When the Bed Bugs are searching for you, they climb into the trap, the highly polished sides stop them getting out. In tests these have been found to be one of the most effective traps. It is easy to see why these are effective considering that there is a highly attractive food source for the Bed BugsÉÉ.you, there is no better attractant.
