BEDBUG (CIMEX LECTULARIUS)
The Bed Bug is an oval flattened insect of 4 to 5mm in length, and mahogany brown colour although it appears darker after a blood meal.Their presence is evident by the spotting of surfaces around the harbourage caused by their faeces and can sometimes be sensed by a sweet sickly smell.
BIOLOGY:
The Bed Bugs nocturnal blood sucking habits may result in significant loss of sleep and diminished health and morale. The Bed Bug will lay two to three eggs per day throughout their life and they may have for several months, therefore several hundred eggs may be laid during a lifetime.
