Welcome to Pestokill
There are a number of reasons for the need to control or eliminate the entry of birds: There are risks of diseases transmitted, invasion from biting insects carried by the birds & the health and safety risk of bird droppings. Faeces, droppings, fouling, excrement - call it what you like, bird guano is not pleasant stuff.Droppings come out wet and can pose a significant hazard to pedestrians, particularly on stairways. Rain can also return dried droppings to their original hazardous state. When the droppings dry out they can become air borne and be inhaled by unsuspecting workers, This is perhaps of greater significance for most people will be the insects and mites associated with bird nests, perhaps of greater significance for most people will be the insects and mites associated with bird nests.

INSECTS ATTRACTED TO BIRDS
Urban birds have a number of blood-feeding parasites which live in their nests and can bite humans if hungry enough. These include biting bugs, mites, fleas, ticks and lice. Birds nests are also good harbourage for a number of other insect pests which eat feathers, droppings and dead birds but can live off other foods. These include carpet beetles, clothes moths, spider beetles, dermestid beetles and book lice. When birds die inside buildings, they can become a significant source of carrion-eaters, such as house flies and blowflies. A dead bird could be host to up to 4000, (maggots) fly larvae

BIRD DISEASES PASSED TO MAN AND ANIMAL
The best known is Psittacosis (also known as Ornithosis), which is a disease that birds suffer from which can be passed on to man. The organism concerned is Chlamydia psittaci which is found in the viscera of infected birds and is excreted by the faeces and in the nasal and eye secretions, thus contaminating their feathers, faeces and nesting materials. Reported numbers of infections in humans, in the UK, average around 470 per year and this number has more than doubled since the mid 1970’s.

BIRD ALERGIES
An allergic condition known as Bird Fancier’s Lung (Allergic Alveolitis) occurs among bird keepers and people exposed occupationally to airborne antigens in dust inhaled from bird cages and corpses.

DEVELOPING IN THE NEST AND DROPPINGS
Several pathogenic fungi find bird droppings, particularly if left to accumulate, a particularly good medium for development. For most people, infection can appear to be little more than a bout of ‘flu, but in susceptable individuals, severe systemic infections can develop, leading to prolonged hospital stays and sometimes even death. Our dedicated team is experienced in all aspects of physical and biological bird control. An assessment of your problem will result in a proposal for the best method to resolve your situation. All deterrent systems will be installed to provide the minimum visual impact with the maximum effect. Numerous systems have been successfully installed to Town halls, Shops, factories, Churches, etc.

OPTION I :For Light to Medium infestations on Buildings the Stainless steelpost and wire may be suitable
